Selling Whirlpool Air Purifiers

I have been selling Whirlpool air purifiers to hotel owners for several years. I visit mostly mid-range priced hotels and have found that a two day stay is the perfect length for a sales call. I get reimbursed for the expenses I incur and I have a good time in the cities that I visit.

Whirlpool air purifiers will sell themselves if you give them a chance. My sales call includes the loan of our most popular model for two nights. I meet with the owners the first night and the second night, then push a contract the third day.

I try to find a nice restaurant to take my prospective client to. It seems easier to me to talk about Whirlpool air purifiers over good food. Food is a universal language and I think it has contributed to my success as a salesman.

I took a sales trip recently with my Whirlpool air purifiers to the Midland/Odessa area. I stayed at the Hilton Midland because they are directly across from the Midland Center and because of the free airport shuttle service. I always try to find reasons to stay at Hilton hotels.

The manager of the LaQuinta Inn was my first sales call in Midland. I took him out for lunch to Luigi's for Italian food. That is a casual place, so the meeting could be a little informal. I showed him a brochure that detailed air quality reports from inside hotel room and showed Whirlpool air purifiers.

I chose to have my second sales call to be with the manager of the Airport Plaza. He chose Gerrardo's Casita for our dinner. I was happy to talk to him about Whirlpool air purifiers over cheese enchiladas. He accepted my offer of a trial run and I loaded one of my test units into his SUV.

The lunch that I planned at The Barn Door Steakhouse included managers from two different hotels. I decided that I could still keep a personal touch with up to three clients at one time. I don't think my sales style for the Whirlpool air purifiers would work well for groups of four or more.

The chicken fried steak had just arrived when the manager of the Hampton Inn asked me some very technical questions about some of the differences between the models. I actually knew the answers he wanted and I think that it impressed him. Both of the managers agreed to try two nights of clean air before deciding.
